Despite rather than because of the hype (courtesy of the British Royals). Bee venom has some potent components that do a lot more than sting and so I was excited to come across Bee Venom Eye Serum by New Zealand company Nature’s Beauty.
Bee Venom Eye Serum is a lightweight, translucent serum that is hydrating, revitalizing and minimizes fine lines. My only quibble is that it is almost a little too lightweight, bordering on watery. But that is better than too gloopy and heavy. While not as hard hitting as eye serums twice or three times its price, Nature’s Beauty Bee Venom Eye Serum is an excellent product in its price bracket. It’s certainly much better value and a better product than Rodial Bee Venom Eye.
Nature’s Beauty Bee Venom Eye Serum has, like all self-respecting New Zealand beauty products, a good dollop of the country’s famed manuka honey. Easyliance is a formulation of two natural polymers that is supposed to give an instant tightening effect. I think my lids looked a little lifted when wearing this serum, but there was no discernible sensation of tightening. There is also Argireline, the peptide that helps restrict expression lines. For nourishment and hydration, there are fatty-acid-rich evening primrose and avocado oils, plus glycerin and sodium hyaluronate.
Based on my experience, I would recommend it for those with fine lines and some crepeiness, whose dryish skin around the eye would benefit from refreshing hydration. And over time, know that the bee venom melittin is working your collagen and elastin.
